Whenever I mkae a turn of over 20 degrees I hear a pop coming from the front left side, somewhere near the left front wheel. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? All suspension is stock/orignal except for new shocks a few thousand miles ago. Thanks...Rob

Whens the last time you greased your front end?
that would be my guess is the you need to get under there with a grease gun and fill those nipples up.

Might want to check that the spring pack isn't shifting. That will make a definite pop during a turn if some of the pack clips are missing.

I have that same noise and I still can't figure it out. I replaced all of my steering linkage, lube it regularly. I just replaced the front leaf spring bushings, the old ones were worn completely through. I have not been paying attention (radio too loud) to see if that fixed it. I also replaced my left axle ujoint, which had no needles or grease in one of the cups, with about way too much play in it. Check the ujoints in the axle, and the spring bushings to see if they are worn.

Mine does this. The rear eye bushings in my front springs are about 1/4" to small. So if its raining (water lubes the bolts heh) or if I have to turn in place ( i try not to, its a bad thing) they will pop. One of these days i will stick some spacers in there to stop it.

Hmm. I've got the same problem. I've got all new joints everywhere but it pops. My wife got in and turned the wheel lock to lock about 50 times while I poked around underneath, and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
I have no spring clips on the front springs, you think that may be it? I'll also check the spring bushings.

I have it, too. That funny pop on the left when turning. Everything looks solid underneath, but I should dig some more.
But's mine's really weird: only does it when it rains. Go figure. --Brent
