Fellas:

Need help again. Found a 79 Wag at the junkyard this morning. Burnt to a crisp(sob)but the rear bumper is chrome and in beautiful shape.

Said he would take $50.00 for it. Will this bumper fit on my 79 J-10 and is this a good price?

It's a decent price, but alas, it's not going to work for you. All Wag's are Narrow Track, and all pickups are Wide Track. It's too short.

Oh I see again it was the rear bumper - I don't think a rear bumper from a Wag / Chero will fit a pickup - pretty sure the frame is deiiferent, plus the bodies are contoured differently.

Rear bumpers are the same width from Cheros and Wags... mount may be different at the frame.... the only reason the front are different is the bottom fender skirts up front compensate for the flares on the W/T... rear are same.... it will fit with mods I'm sure

The real question is, is would it look good, or would it not be worth the hassle? Don't know if it would look good on the pickup. Measure the widths first to be sure it's even worth it...

I'm going to hold out til I can find another bumper from a J series. The one on the Wag was very narrow.

My current bumper is ugly, beat up and nasty. Guess that add's character. (grin)
