View Full Version : If 30X9.5's are an easy fit, how about 31X10.5's?

They are just a little bigger, can I run the 31's on the stock 6.5" wheels?

Hey,

i'm running 33x12.5R15 on an 8.5" wheel. So, if you choose to believethe logic that will carry on down, you should be fine. I know 7" rims and 31x10.5's are ok. Check the manufacturer's web page and see what minimun they list for the tire. However, I can't say anything for rubbing. It's seems the wags need a lift to fit 31's, so Me and my J-10 are gonna shut up.

Yes 31's will fit a stock wag as long as the front springs are not sagging to bad. I had 31x10.5 BFG's on my 85. The only rubbing I had was when turning. It was the tires hitting the leaf springs. No big deal in my book.

I have 31x10.50s on my 84 wag with 3" lift and they would hit the front of the rear wheel well on severe articulation. Solved that by trimming the wheel well by about 3".

i have a '72 wag with 31x10.50x15's and i don't rub at all!!! i can stuff the wheels and i don't rub, i don't rub when turning -- even when its cranked over hard. i'm pretty sure my springs are shot and i know that my shocks are worthless, so i don't think it should be a problem even if your springs are sagging. just my two cents.
