Last night I installed a tac on my 89GW and greased the speedo cable while I was in there.

When I connected to the the negative coil wire, I was suprised to see a ford logo on the cap that connects the wires to the posts. I have a can style coil, and have been following the discussions on TFI upgrade which I'll due this weekend. It got me wondering though just what kind of coil is in there?

AMC used Ford ign systems and it is a Ford coil and connector. If you pull off the AMC decal your ign box may say Motorcraft on it too.
