Help Please-
I completed the TFI upgrade today....it took a little longer then I thought but my attitude is still ok (lots of sun and a 6pk). My jeep is running rough and I assume its a bad plug wire connection. I bought a set of accel wores for a 429 and all of the distributor ends had to be cripped witha apair of pliars to fit half way snug. It also seems that the plug in of the wires may not be all the way inseterted (not from lack of effort). Any ideas on how to make a good connection or should I buy a better fitting set of wires?? Thanks for the help!!

Quite a few members have posted bad things about the Accel wires. You may have a bad set. With the motor running, pull a wire off the plug and see if there's any change in idle/missing/etc. If so, and if you KNOW the plug is good I'd look to replacing the wire set. I used Accel on mine with no problems.

I second what Joe said. Latly a lot of people have been getting bad sets of accel wires. I bought my set about a month ago and I have no problems, but I am going to change them out soon anyway for MSD wires. I know it is a lot more money, but I want the peace of mind. If you plugs are good I would go with a new set of wires.

Also check your cap for any cracks.

I used the Accel wires(blue, don't remember the model #)I had to cut them to fit and crimp the connectors on. After the first or second one I got the hang of it and they went on slicker 'n snot. They seem to work great.
