Thanks for the advice on Rebuilt motors. I have looked locally at alot of shops to have one rebuilt but the prices haven't impressed me that much. And most of the shops just send off the cores anyway. I am also not sure if the the motor I have is rebuildable I bought the truck for $200 with a blown motor I haven't examined it that close but there is a whole the size of a softball in the oil pan where it threw a rod. I thought about swaping the motor from a the 72 I have but that motor is pretty tired and it burns oil. So it needs a least a rebuild if not more to get it up to speed. Most of the place's I have checked out on the Web have been around $1500 But Precision Engine Rebuilders In Houston (At 3225 N Freeway Road) has a price of $900 listed for a Long Block. Money is a concern because I am going to College. So Either I find some place cheaper and install it myself or I wait until I get some more money. which might be a while.
