Yes you can run 4:88 in one end and 4:89 in the other without any trouble or problems at all.

Thanks for the info, I seem to come up with new and better ideas before the parts even arrive, glad it will work! smile.gif

Donzi,
I will suggest you get a rear CV shaft for the rear running the offset QT to a 14FF and you MUST ensure the shaft will clear the tank.
You will most likely need to install a p/t kit in the QT...

I have the part time kit and hubs already:),
But I didn't know about the tank?? I am also performing SOA with 3"bodylift and 4" springs.
Do you think it will clear the tank? It looks like it will.....

It should clear, but check it closely...

RB, it's only 0.003% mismatch between 4.88 and 4.89. Tire pressure and wear alone are probably much more than that.

you'd never notice 1/3 of 1% of difference.
donzi, what are you going to do about gas tank clearance?

You are most likely correct.. and since he has the p/t kit already it won't matter... I just know how the littlest things like uneven tires or even tire pressure differences running a F/T QT can affect it in a bad way....that was my concern.

For what it's worth, in my old 78 Cherokee, I ran a dana 20 with an offset rear differential with no problems.

I am going to check the tank again but I think it will clear it with a 7" suspension and 3" body lift. Any thoughts.... ;)
I am also going to check into a cv driveshaft.

I taped the rear 44 at 4" offset for the ds. the 14 bolt in the shop came from a C&C and measures 2" offset.
