Value of D44s?

How much should I offer for a pair of D44's? Both have new brakes and new seals, so I've been told, and the rear has a detroit locker.

I think they are 3.54's

Around here a set of D44s will go for about 3-4 hundred. But because the ones you are talking about have new breaks, and a locker.... I would think you could expect to pay 4-6 hundred. It sounds like a good find if you are interested in running the 3.54's that are in there. However if you are planning on going taller with the gearing, you are probably going to need new carriers/ and or lockers. I think the cut off for the 44 is 3.73. So if you go taller than that you won't be able to use the locker in there. I would say if they are more than 6 hundred, scrap the plan. find a cheap D60 and build that.
