dome light removal

I am trying to find out how to get the dome light off of my roof so I can replace it, but I cant figure out how it is attached to the roof. How the heck do you take these things down?

pop the center lens off (very carefully!) and remove the 2 screws on the centerline. they go into the roof bow, so if you replace them, make sure you get ones that wont stick thru the roof!

I couldnt get the center lens off. So I assumed that it didnt come off without breaking it

I broke mine when I put in the TAD rack. I had a spare light from, of all things, a 73 mach I mustang. About a month alter I finally managed to get the lens off of the spare. You have to be very very very very careful. I used a large flat spatula and that did the trick! Either way, I was confident to know that if I broke the second one, BJ had replacements!
