View Full Version : Which transmisson????????

My 89 has a 727 Chrysler transmission. Have had zero problems with the tranny, though I was curious what experience you guys have had with your transmissions. I think the other tranny in the older ones was the TH400.

My understanding is that both of these transmissions are bullet proof. Let us all know your opinions.

never had problem one with mine nor has anyone i know had problems

no matter how tough it is,or how much $ youve spent on it,water will kill either.

both are also used in 1000 hp top fuel cars,so you could build a real bulletproof one if you wanted.lots of stuff available for both-deep sump pans,shift kits,etc.

im swapping in a stick.water in my auto tranny has killed my weekend fun more than once.not ay more.instead of a whole case of tranny fluid,ill need 1 quart-for the power steering!this tranny swap will actually be saving me some storage space http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif
