This being a full size forum it might be hard to find it here, but the adaptor for the 208 and the 300 cases are the same and I had a CJ guy buy a 727 and 208 from me because he said the output shaft on the tranny would work for either and he was going to put 300 case on the back of the auto tranny. Whether this is true or not I do not know.

the t176 uses the circular NP pattern and a 23 spline output, making a d300 a bolt on swap.

in references to a cj,there are prolly input shaft/belhousing length differences between cj and fsj, just as there are with the t18.

in looking for a potential cj swap, look for an 80 and up chero/j10 with a 6 cyl,as that is the shortest fsj version, but it still may be longer than a t176 with a cj input shaft and belhousing.

chek in the transmission section here: http://www.jeeptech.com/

and also in the cj forum at jeeps unlimited: http://forums.jeepsunlimited.com/
