seat and headliner

the back on driver seat is broken it goes all the way back flat can this be fixed any ideas also i took headliner down to recover do i need the rubber pads that were laying on it when i pulled it down what are they for?

Good question actually! IS there any way to make the back of the factory buckets tilt back a little? I know it doesn't have an adjuster, but is there something inside I can remove a bolt or something and clock it back just a little? I hate that they're "fixed" into place! :(

The other question about those rubber pads puzzles me to, I found them when removing my headliner for reupolstering, do they serve any purpose?

Yea, the pads. I put them back in, don't know why. One of the great mysteries.

The rubber pieces were originally glued to the roof. They dampen sound coming thru the roof, notably rain.

i have many times tried to fix the seat backs never succesfully however!!! If you do let us know how.
