hi people -
im going to put new tyres on my fsj, i was wondering, what in your opinions is the best brand & type of tyre to put on for:
good on & off road performance & comfortable daily driving > i wont really take it off road too much, but will do lots of touring across my wide brown land.
- by the way, what was the original fsj tyre?
it currently has pirelli's - & they're hard as..i was thinking bf goodrich "all terrains" - any comment here?
by the way, i am going to keep to original stock size - none of that raised stuff for me (thats on the t.j.)
your opinions are sought & appreciated.
thanks

I'm running 31" BFG AT's and I like them. They're pretty quiet on the street but are agressive enough for all but hardcore off-roading.
One thing though, they are made in Japan. I didn't know that until after I had them a few weeks and I saw it on the sidewall.

BFG's are made in japan and owned by the french lol
I LOVE my coopers. Run them on several vehicles. The STT is a good agressive mud tire. Better then the BFG MT (IMHO) for a lot less.
The S/T is a good all terrain tire they wont get totally gummed up in mud. The Discoverer LT is also an all terrain style tire but with larger lug spacing then most others.

That's Wagonmaster; he uses the stock-size 235/75-15" whitewalls. There are any number of manufacturers who make tires in that size; Michelin is among the top of the line.
