I recently wiped out the rings in my Buick 350 while trying to swap an intake manifold. I would like to keep it buick powered if I can find a decently priced used Buick 350. anyone have one for sale in in Northen CA? If I can't find one, has anyone swapped in a Chevy 350? Will I have to fab motor mounts or are there any kits out there for this swap? ANy clearence issues with the rear mounted distributors? Any other considerations? HOw about re ringing the existing Buick 350? I know its a lot of questions, but the one thing I've learned is ask questions first, tear things a part second!

I am a little confused about the BOP th400 found in the 69-70 waggy's. Can I use the Summit or similar adapter to bolt a Chevy 350 into my Wag or do I have to swap out the tranny as well?

You should be able to use a BOP to chevy adapter for that tranny no problem.

What about motor mounts? Does anyone make motor mounts to install chevy engine onto existing frame mounts? I am hoping for a nice, neat conversion. I don't want my booger welds holding the engine in place. Any clearence issues with an hei using existing mounts?
