does anyone know if there are any parts between the tracklock and powerlock that can be swaped between the 2? any part numbers the same? anyone know were i can find any info or breakdown on them?

the only thing that you would have a chance of swapping would be the clutch discs,as the trash lok is a 1 piece case with 2 spiders and the powerlok is a 2 piece case with 4 spiders.
i am pretty sure that the discs are different. :(
maybe someone else can verify or disprove that for sure...

Nothing interchanges. If you were able to put them side by side on a workbench you would see why. The Powrloc is way superior to a tracloc. Tracloc's provide the same amount of friction all the time. Powrloc's provide a varying amount of torque due to the ramped spider gear shafts. They get their input from the wheel thats spinning forcing the spider gear shaft up it's ramped seat clamping the clutch pack tighter causing the non spinning wheel to start spinning. You can also take out the 5 disc's (three curved and two flats) and swap in one or both curved plates in place of the flat ones. This will tighten up the differential significantly. An old fart taught me about this. Also This does NOT work on a Dana 30 powrloc. I have tried it and the case is machined for the factory clutch pack only. I do not know about 60 or 70 powrloc's. A word about limited slip additive. LSA makes clutch type diff's slip MORE. It is designed to stop chattering. When I put together a fresh diff I never put in additive unless it chatters in a corner. Only then will I add very small amounts until the chattering stops. Currently I have no LSA in my front 44 powrloc in my CJ. And I have no LSA in my rear 60 in the wag which has a scraploc in back. Neither of them chatter and they grip pretty well. Another thing. The reason I call tracloc's scraploc's is because they have been known to split the case at the spider gear shaft hole under heavy stress. I have only seen this happen to 44 tracloc's, so far never seen a 60 tracloc grenade. Can you tell I am pushing for you to get a powrloc? They really are better. Once you open one up you will see a very ingenious design. One of the engineers (Thornton) was one of the designers of the studebaker car. Revolutionary for it's time. Good luck with your decision.... Oh yea, I think but not sure that the CJ3B page has something on Powrloc's...

Hopefully, here is a picture of the shaft ends I am talking about. http://c36190.upc-c.chello.nl/img/dodge/d44/2d44-0003.jpeg
