Whats involved in converting a drum d60 rear to a disc d60 rear in my 76 j20? It seems like their would be trucks with direct break swaps but im not sure. Thanks

Looking at this upgrade now. I have a 83 dana 60 that would love to be setup on disc.

My 60 brackets bolt directly to the same four bolts that hold the backing plate on. It's that easy. Knock the studs out of the drums and grab 3/4T rotors and put them on the hubs in place of the drums.

I have a MicroStation file of a bracket for a 14 bolt if anyone wants it. .pdf too. I'm fairly sure they're the same as a 60 bracket except that the 14 bolt needs 3/4" spacers behind it.

ok so you get the front calipers and rotors from a 77k20 chavy aswell as the caliper bracket off a k20? That right? Sounds too ez.

anybody have links to a chevy k20 d6o rear disk swap. What other rotors will work? Seems like you just get a rotor thats an 8bolt then a caliper that matches that rotor? Wouldnt the front discs off a jeep d44 work on the rear with a fabricated bracket?

I was thinking about getting these caliper mounts (see link) then getting a set of 11.25" rotors with the 8bolt pattern and some late 70's gm truck calipers. That should work shouldnt it?
