Just got back from the exhaust shop. Got rid of that stock corked up setup and went with a 3" single aluminized with a Jones Exhaust Thunder Jet (http://www.jonesexhaust.com/) muffler.
I'd never heard of Jones either but this custom shop in my town uses them so after a check of their website I decided to give 'em a try.
The muffler is high quality all welded aluminized and has a sweet tone especially right off idle.
I'm putting a Stainless tip on it too, probably from Gibson.
$160 total, not too bad I thought.

Sounds like a good deal. I paid $100 for just a stupid glass pack and 1' section of pipe installed.

yeah the off idle sound with the 3" i have is pretty sweet.. i know which on you are talking about.. mine is around 1000.. nice and deep and throaty... Sometimes its a little slow to drive at 1 grand but it sounds so cool that I have to, "Drive super slow through the neighborhoods lookin out for kids" wouldn't want to get in an accident!
If you ever decide that your cab is just WAY to quite you can cut the exhaust off just pass the frame rail (well thats where mine had to be cut off when I did the SOA..Oh my its deefing.. When idling you can barely hear anything else going around you let alone the person sitting next to you.. that is one of the #1 reasons my GF won't ride in my Jeep anymore...

On another note, I finally installed the 60 so I'm one step closer, just have to finish the brakes.

BTW, where'd you get the work done?
I'm going to need a set of duals on my Cherokee once the lift is in and the NP205 is displacing the space taken up by the current single exhaust.

It does look like some skin problem doesn't it? The paint peeling has been a slow process but I guess the rustoleum hammered didn't take to the galvanized frame. Oh well, guess I will have to live with it because I'm certainly NOT going to the bare frame again!
