GW Tailgate Removal: Tell me an EASY WAY!

I have to replace my tailgate out of my '90 GW and I need to know how to get it out as well as the one from my donner vehicle!

Unbolt it.... (after disconnecting the electrical), remove the side stays, leave one screw in each hinge at the body and with the tailgate mostly up you can release the rods from the hinge bracket, take out the last two screws and then pull the tailgate up and out. Two people makes it a lot easier, they are pretty heavy.

Ha Ha Ha!! I'm in the Akron-Canton area. Have a '82 J20 I've just finished restoring and now have a '90 GW that is next.

Anyone close to me, Akron, Ohio in the need of a rear seat out of a Grand Wagoneer? Have a Red one from a '77 Wagoneer.
