I getting a GW today that doesn't haev a rear axle, I have a AMC 20 widetrack axle that i'd like to throw under is for now just so its a rolling vehicle. I know that in order to have widetrake axles on a GW you need to cut fenders, but i just want to know if the spring perches are the same so that i can bolt it up for now. And also, just wonder, how much longer are WT axles verses NT axles? thanks

As long as the AMC 20 Axle is from a Chero it will bolt into place, if it hits the fenders will depend on Spring Sag and wheel width. Differance in Wheel Trac will be close to 6" wider from the NT axle to the WT axle.

OK, I took the amc 20 out of a 82 cherokee widetrack. thanks a lot!
Also make sure the donor axle is the same ratio as the front before using 4WD.

I'm planning on putting both W/T axles in at some point. its just hard to move without a rear axle smile.gif so i'm just going to put the WT in the back for now. Thanks.

Is a W/T D44 weaker than a N/T D44? I mean, it stands to reason, but I wanna hear it from yall...
