As if I didn't have enough problems in my life already (I'll spare you all the horrifying details).

I took my TSM out of the back floorboard area on the passenger side. The book had serious water damage. I felt the carpet, it was a little damp.

I stood on the area listening for crunching... heard none.

Do I have a hole in there somewhere?!

I guess it could be a bad door seal along the bottom of the door. The rear floor boards seem to rust out along the aluminum sill that holds the carpet and door seal in place, I would guess this is the problem. My 89 has the length of the door and about a 2" wide fresh air intake for the comfort of the rear passengers. I do get complaints in the rain and river crossings. I have no plans on repair though as I am beginning to hate this 89, with a passion and can't wait till I part it out.

it also couuld be running down the b pillar inside from a leaky roof SE. does the dome light still work when you open the drivers door? if not then i can tell you where to look for the problem. the wire rots out under the rug beneath the seat belt mount. amhik yup, CJM i dont like my 88 any where as much as the amc wags i have had.can i snag a few doodads when the the day comes? :D

Funny you should mention that.. sometimes the lights come on, sometimes they don't I have to spin that little switch on my drivers door when it has a spout of not working.

But... the wet floor is the back passenger floorboard!

I know when I removed the door sills in my 83 Wag I found several extra screw holes that were open to the elements. I siliconed them and the carpet dried up. However, we have'nt had any rain around here in years.
