I have a 1988 GW and don't have a rear wiper. Has anyone ever installed a rear wiper where none existed before?

It would most likely be ALOT easier to find a tailgate from a junked late model GW than to retro one in....

I didn't think the rear wiper was an option in '88. I thought they were standard issue. I bet someone has removed it and filled the hole. I believe you can still buy the motor from parts store. wiring should all be there.

My '88 doesn't have it either. I was thinking of going the whole tailgate transfer route myself as my tailgate is dented anyway.

'88s didn't come with one.It was standard starting in '89.The tailgate transfer would be the easy way to do it if your lucky to find a '89-'91.If you go the donor route get the wiring harness,washer nozzle,washer bottle under the hood and the switch pod under the steering wheel r you could modify your's if you want to mount the switch like the factory did.
