View Full Version : Thanks for the heads up!!!!
This is a simple thing but it made mine and my passengers day..Thanks to the guys on this board and recommending carrying a spare ignition module..which I would not have known squat about without this board. My girl and I, along with her niece were in rush hour traffic in Milwaukee when it quit  ..5 minutes and we were back on the road..now she doesn't say anything about my time on this board :D !! Thanks

Great feeling, eh? It almost completely eliminates the frustration of the rig breaking down in the first place!
Very cool - and a sure fire way to impress people!

I've had a few road-side-insta-repairs myself... of course, that sucked me into carrying a giant pile of spare parts every where I go... but I guess I'd rather do that, than need to call a tow truck to replace a broken rotor in a ski-area parking lot.
In fact, in that case, I impressed the heck out of the two guys I was riding with. "Don't you have a AAA card?" they wondered. That's the only way they knew how to get a car "fixed" -- I think we jeepers are a dying breed.... people who actually understand (sometimes) what all the doodahs and geegads under the hood do.
'Course, the chicken-egg question: Do we get jeeps because we know and like repairing and maintaining, or do we learn to repair and maintain 'cuz we got old jeeps? ;)
