My '91 GWag has 165,000 miles. It does not burn oil(yet)and I recently installed a new power valve on the carburator. It idles okay. When I accelerate it knocks in the engine. I have tried putting in the expensive fuel but it still knocks. Any suggestions?

Cut back on the timing and see if that helps.
