i was wondering if i could talk you into measureing the length of the adapter between your dodge 435 and 205. if the case is off of it,id also be interested in knowing if the tailsahft sticks out past the end of the adapter, and if so,how far.
if the 205 is still attached,no biggie, the main thing im curious about is the adapter length. hopefully its pretty close to 7 inches :D
thanx in advance smile.gif

I am out of town on Biz but can measure it when I get back. The tcase is disconnected so very easy to do. Want PICS?

ya pics would be cool. thanx a bunch! i was playing around with my 435 and d300 today, and my 203 adapter is about 6" long, and the shaft sticks out past it about an inch. the 727 and 904 have no shaft stickout past the adapter, and the d300 input gear is about 2.5" deep, and protruding from the t case.
the d300 will not slide all the way on,im not 100% sure if the front bearing retainer is hitting someting in the adapter,or the input gear is actually bottoming out
it would be fairly simple to make a 1" or so adapter/spacer to go between the factor 203 adapter and d300.
it would be even easier to swap on an adapter that is an inch longer and having the round pattern. ;)
i know the ford 435/205 adapter is about 7" long, but im not sure if it will bolt to this dodge housing.kyrel is supposed to bring his down here sos we can compare.
anyway,i was curious about the length of the dodge adapter, and shaft stickout length.
thanx again for the info.
