Need Help ASAP

Just putting on my new hood release lever from BJS offroad, got the old one out, and the new one in but wanting to know how do you make up the slack, seems to be alot. PO had ziptied the old one to the supports on the hood....I most likely will do this again but the thing im having problems with is at the end where the line gets hooked to a bracket with 2 bolts, dont know how this goes in, cant remember how the old one was. help me!!!! Thanks :D

The cables do have slack. They are ziptied to the hood supports out of the factory. As for the bracket...I've installed mine before but don't have it in front of me at the moment.

Zip tie, LOL thats funny I thought the PO did that, goofy design, I think I figured it out, but its raining now :(

Ok got it in GO ME!!!! took some work but I guess it is aftermarket so no good fit, now I just have to get the rubber garment in the hole and Ill be set.
