Does anyone know if the front drive shaft from a 229 or 208 behind a 727 tranny will work? What combinations of transfercases with drive shafts will work?
I need to replace my front shaft off a 208 with the 727 and I want to know how many options I have.
Thanks.

So what your askin is..

Will the same front shaft work with a 229 or a 208??

Yes.. the front case halfs are the same dimension on those. just the 229 has a larger rear section where the viscous crappler is ..

What other transfer cases were used in earlier models? My friend does not know what transfer case it came from.
