gauge cluster?

hi i was wondering how to get the older style intrsament clusters out. thanks

You really need to drop the steering column about 1 to 2 inches, undo the speedo cable, disconnect the battery (that is a definate!!), and you'll be able to undo the electrical connections on the back.

Once you get that far, you'll be able to see what else you need to do.

Are you talking about the late 60s up to 73s gauge panel? If so you just need to undo the wires and speedo cable and then try to find the clips around the outside of the panel. I think there are two on top and two on the bottom. They are a pain to get to but you shouldnt have to pull the steering column or anything on the early models.
