After checking up on different lift kits I decided to go with the SOA. There is one problem. My factory srings are worn. Do I buy new factory style springs or go with a mild 3" after market kit. The guys at the local shop tell me the SOA will give me 6" of lift. On my YJ it gives it 5". How does it do this when the rear is already over the axle and where can I get a shackle flip kit for the rear. I was also told that I could go with the rustys 6" kit and a 2" body lif and clear 36" tires easy with no rubbing... any truth to this? I want a capleble trail vehichle and a daily driver. I really dont care about the "ride Quality" or I would not own to leaf sprung jeeps. If anyone has any input before I do this thing or sugestions that might help please feel free to supply your input. Im going for the lift around mid february. Thanks everyone as you have greatly helped my intro into the FSJ world!

Well with the rusty's 6inch and the 2 inch body i think you will still rub with 36's.. unless you cut.. As for the SOA yes the rear is already SOA so you will have to either get blocks/springs to compansate for the 6-7" gain in the front or you will have to use a kit that River Beast ( a member here on the board) makes and sells which modifies the rear spring hangers, here is some pictures,
1st the front spring hanger for the rear:

2nd the rear hanger for the rear:

I know the second one you can't really see it but I didn't have any good pictures and that was the best one i could find.. You are welcome to check out the rest of my pictures just click the hompage link above...

There are also numurous post regarding this topic and a quick search will probably give you more info then I can respond with...

On the issue of tire's and rubbing.. this link is a old post that lays out what will fit and what won't fit for suspensions/tire combos...
http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000023

With the worn springs.. how worn are they? That is one of the benifiet of using old springs is that they are really flexy... so a degree of wornness is actually desired.. but that would have to be determined through photos you either post so some one here can help give advice or you just make the call...

Good luck!

Hi
I have come just the same decision, I`m gonna make SOA. Here is one site where is told what you need http://www.nvcs.com/bstanley/wagsoa.htm
I have found allready one welded front axle for SOA and 2" lenghtened drivesafts with double U-joints. I"ll maybe use 33" tires. I have read that 35" can cause some rubbing in Wagoneer?
Good luck to you...
