STARTING PROBLM AGAIN

1980 J20 360 V8 Truck will only start when i jump out relay solenoid posts + pos from battery and the post for the starter.what could be prob thanks, Joe

I would sugest checking the neutral start switch if its a automatic. and its possible the lead for turning the motor over from the ignition switch is corroded or no longer makes contact when turning the key to start.
