What are your experience with these? Do they last as long as the regular new ones that you can buy at the auto parts store?
TIA
I have the Flowkooler for a tall SBC on the 350 in a GMC truck. I originally purchased it in 1998 when that engine was in the Willys truck with a much smaller radiator than the GMC. I think it helped marginally at best in that application. I got better results from getting my radiator core replaced and adding a fan shroud, that kept it at a steady 195, even in town, which was my problem area. I don't think moving more coolant at low rpm's was they key, cooling the coolant better at low rpm's is what really helped. Quality, well it's over 4 years old now, so I can't complain. Purchased from Advance Adapters for about $70 back then.
I'm really interested in this topic myself.
I know if you're running an AMC motor, and you get the FlowKooler, you have to put 2 or 3 gaskets on to keep the impeller from trashing the timing cover.
A suggestion was made to me: to use the stock water pump and put a FlowKooler cavitation disc on it. It keeps the water from sitting around behind the impeller and increases flow by 60% or something like that. You'll need a rivet tool and 8 bucks.
Milodon also makes one for AMC, but I don't know anybody using it. But I do know that Milodon makes some really nice stuff.
I'm starting to think that a high flow pump is also over-rated, so I haven't put one in the Wag yet, so I can't tell you by personal experience. I do know that more important are the fan, fan clutch, and radiator. I'm replacing those first and will just wait for the water pump to die.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've had some cooling problems recently and am trying to get my temp down as low as possible. I'm running 'round 210-15 in the city. Sat in a driv-thru and it rose to 230+, with the A/C on high.
