Ok, when my engine is running around 2000 rpms and up it will force oil out of my breather cap. And also oil will seep out of the intake bolt holes. I have the Edelbrock performer intake. My PCV valve is good, and oil pressure isnt too high, so whats wrong?

My engine is a crate 350, it was bought new in 92, so it has some miles on it. I dont have anything special on it other than the Edelbrock intake and carb, as well as headers and MT aluminum valve covers. I tried replacing the breather cap with a regular one, and that just made the engine surge at an idle. Any suggestions?

What kind of pump are you using? filter? oil weight? It seems that you have bad flow. This is just a guess and I am sure that someone will have a better (more experienced) idea. But it is a start.

run a compression test, sounds like blow-by.

I did a compression test not too long ago, cant remeber exact numbers, but I think they were pretty even over all eight cylinders, Ill run another one just to check. Wouldnt blow-by be putting out blue smoke? Cause thats one thing I actuall dont have.

I have been using 10w40 premium blue synthetic oil, AC Delco filter. Everything else is just stock. It even did it when I ran non-synthetic oil.

Sounds like serious blow-by through the crankcase - which wouldn't smoke much out the exhaust. You might be in for an overhaul.
