Can this be true?

My oil pressure gauge is pegged at 80 psi. It has been like this for the past couple months. Before that it was at 80 at start up then would settle down to about 40 and every so often read 0. It sounds like a bad sender right? BTW where is the sender located on an '87 360? :confused:

If the gauge stays pegged, the wire is prolly off the sender which is down at the oil filter. You'll see it it's the only thing down there that should have a wire connected to it.
