Has anyone had any good or bad experience in installing a Juice Box TFI ignition upgrade in a 258 six cylinder. My 79 J10 has a rough idle and I wonder if it is worth the investment. Please reply with any info.
Thanks
Pete

Pete:
I pulled the old square box out of my CJ-7 recently (258 in-line 6) and replaced it with an MSD ignition from 4 Wheel Drive Hardware. I have noticed a huge improvment. I've been driving this CJ for the past five years and I have never had her run this well. Good luck.

Welcome Peter!!
I did the same upgrade to my 87 Wag with a 360. I used TFI coil (alot of 302/351s have them) and connector and also the adapter for the distributor cap from a pick-ur-part junkyard for under $10. Got new plug wires (make sure to get the ones with the correct- newer- terminals) and cap/rotor (accel) for about $60 from Pep Boys and voila - "juice box" upgrade for cheap. It helped out on my Wag - well worth the money - I really needed a tune-up and plug wires anyway.
