I got my '86 GW tuned at the Dyno Shop in San Diego earlier this week, and they gave me a readout of my torque and horsepower: 151 hp at 3200 rpm, and 232 lb-ft at 2800 rpm. This is all read at the rear wheel. Is this good? Is rear wheel horsepower different from horsepower at the flywheel? 151hp doesn't seem like that much to me, especially after putting on fancy stuff like a Performer Package, headers, etc.
Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me!

With the horsepower lost through the drive line(trany,TC,diffs, etc.)you could easily have about 180-190 HP at the engine. On a standard automobile there is a loss of about 18 to 20% HP, but this truck having a transfer case and a non-performance trany you could easily have about a 25% HP loss at the rear wheels, thats 189 HP not bad!

Hope this helps
