Nope..they don't exist. Period. Unless the boys at BJs canb work some magic.

I used a piece of Ford fuel filler hose cut to length on the way top Ouray...haven't leaked since. =)

Bad one is for the J Trucks...it's a hard 90 down through the bed and then another sharp 90...all made of rubber. Mine is held together with F-4 (friction) tape. Leaks a little but as long as I don't fill the tank up then I can live with a little leak.

WHERE ARE THE BOYS AT BJ'S?!?!?!!?!

Ahhhhhh!!! Okay, okay, okay.... We are actually working on this believe it or not.

Tod, on your year you should be able to run a non-molded hose and make it work. I have just a straight piece of hose that I used on my 79 Cherokee and just re-routed it a little and it works great...

Thanks

Thanks Brent... but do you have ALL the hoses that go under there? there are three on mine....

..and you are correct... none are molded..

1- 1.25"
1- .75"
1- 5/16"

Is the hose special rubber, or can one use molded radiator hose?

sheesh, I think Todd is getting impatient.... ;)

Todd, as Brent said, we are working on these. It will be sometime in '04 before they are ready. And yes, you MUST use fuel-rated hose. Water/vacuum hoses will not work.

Riverbeast: You may try California Industrial Rubber. They have quite a bit of various items and may have something for you.

http://cir.net/locations/main.html I don't know how close one of their locations would be.. probably not very :( Should be a similar dealer down that way though.

Try Napa. They sell em. I worked there as a kid and remember selling them. Only cut to length. No molded. Any size to 6 inches in dia. can be ordered by the foot.

When I checked a NAPA, and all the other auto parts places, they dont carry the 1.25" hose  . I had to go to a hydraulic hose shop to buy the hose. The one from the hydraulic shop is what they call suction line, very stiff hose and hard to bend but do able, fuel rated. Just make sure you bring a big wallet, if I remember right around $20 for the one hose.

the fuel fill hose for the GW necks m using on me 66 use 1" ID hose.

m using some red 1"ID hose i got from OSH, and have had it on the jeep for over a year..stays flexable, doesnt come apart, and me fuel filter looks clear.

You talking about the plastic part inside the rear quarter panel?
Or the rubber hoses that attach to it?

For the hose I got all mine in one trip to Industrial Hose & Rubber here in Tucson.
520-623-0531

Item#
57910-175...1 3/4" BELLOWSFLEX FUEL FILL HOSE (24") @ .64 per inch.
Item#
338412300...3/4" FLEX-LOC HOSE #250 (6') @ 1.90 per foot.

These have been on for over 2 years now and are holding up fine, matter of fact they have been on and off several times to drop the tank.
That's for the stock tank on the 1970 (68 looked the same), newer hoses may be smaller but these industrial hose companies make all sizes, everday, you just got to find the right place in your area.

Todd, try a marine(as in boats) supply place. They usually have various sizes of fuel hose.

I got all of mine at my local NAPA. They had all the sizes in stock here. It might have to do with the fact that I live in bufu and they carry a lot of farm tractor supplies there also. So you might try a farm impliment dealer for some hoses.

Here's a listing of Gates flexible fuel fill hose. http://www.jgbhose.com/static/150270.asp

You could probably use this hose and metal elbows to fab a replacement filler hose.

to keep the hose i get from OSH to a min, i use pipe and elbows of 3/4 cast metal. the 3/4" size is just 1" in OD which fits the 1" ID hose fine.

on the 70's it is 1.75 for the fill and forgot the vent size.....

i went to the local truck shop..... and they send me to a local part store for the 1.75 ..... $12 for a 24" and a mufller shop bent the 90degree angle.....

this tucson place is going to receive a lot of calls

Cheers

I have used hose from hydraulic store as well (fuel rated of course) they were pricey, but who cares? This is my baby! I must take care of her!

When I replaced the on on my last '79 I just went to an industrial hose dealer and got some heavy duty fuel line of the right diameter and that worked just fine. I went that route because they are were not available at any of the local parts places.

Mark, you can get fuel rated braided hose in various sizes from Summit Racing. It is a bit pricey but it will last a lot longer than stock fuel hose and is much tougher. Earl's Performance makes different types of braided hose as do other manufactures. Talk to a sales rep at Summit Racing and explain what you are looking for.
