I have read the various posts about the varying shaft & spacer lengths of the T-18(A) depending on the year and engine attached too, but I am still a little fuzzy. I am guessing a T-18A from a 73 J-truck with a 360 will not be a direct drop in to my '74 with the 258??? If it is PLEASE tell me, because I may have a line on one.

Thanks guys, we need a what fits matrix for trannys and x-cases ;)

The spacer length is different from I6 to V8 this would not be a drop in for you. :(

Kind of figured that might be the case since the I6 is so long. Sounds like I need one that was originally behind a I6  Some day I will find a deal on one that I can use. Maybe someone has one that will work for me and they would want to trade for one from a 360/D20 combo. Just a thought!
