Rim Size ?

How wide of a tire can you go with a stock 6.75 x 16.5 8 lug?..
Any tire suggestions, brands, sizes?.. I want to keep the stock rims but would like a wider tire,and still keep it mostly if not all inside the fender flare..

This tire has a 9" treadwith and can work, but you wont have a good contact footprint due to the sidewalls being pinched in to the narrow rim... you can see in the last pic how the tire is ballooned up in the middle of the tread...

This is one of the smaller treadwidths you can get and would run this on a 6.5" rim before any other wider treadwidth.

Thanks Todd.. I looked at some BF Goodrich T/A's today. found some 31x10.5x16.5.. I think they will be ok on the 6.75 rims.. I guess will find out next Monday.. :rolleyes: HOOT
