After 1 auto zone pump, 1 AGR pump and 1 NAPA pump, Im begenning to think im never gonna have power steering again. Everything goes fine untill I start doing some serious 4x4 turning and fry the pump. I have 35's and front locker, so I guess its just too much. Even the AGR went out. Does anyone know if the steering pump out of a bigger truck like an older ford 250 or 350 or a big dodge 4x4 are bigger and more heavy duty? I could always fab up some brackets and get some fittings for the high pressure hose to fit. If anyone knows, please help. Im going through 1 pump a week! Thanks Dennis

have you considered hydraulic steering? Not quit sure how that works, but looks really sweet to have that hydraulic ram on your steering bar thingy.

If your fluid is getting hot and causing problems, run the low-pressure return line through a tranny-cooler (or the A/C condensor flipped end-to-end) before sending it back to the pump.

i would go with a fair size tranny cooler first (for the ps) and then hydraulic assist steering.

All I need to do is hook uo one more line and my cooler is installed, but dont know if that will help. What is a hydraulic assist? Any info or links to these products? Can you make one? Thanks Dennis
