Ok, now that we have the wholewindshield issue covered, back to my original dilema. I don't have a manual right now and I am going to remove the dash (after the windshield http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif). What kinda mess will I encounter. I already started pulling the air plenum/motor assembly which has the t/c switch attached. While Im at it I want to grease the speedo cable and change the temp control cable. Any warnings?
Thanks in adavance,
Stuart

once the windshield is out it is pretty straight forward, just be carefull when tacking the plug off the back of the insturment cluster as the prongs break off the circut board fairly easily. Do not twist or pull too hard just use a steady straight pull.

Got the windshield out, the dash is another story. After getting all the bolts out along the top I started on the underside, wrong order I know. It quickly became apparent that this was going to be a big job.
For starters, The left side bolt is blocked by the emergency brake mount. I didn't even bother to move the windshield off the hood where it was resting to see how I remove the thing. Too much work, I'd rather mask off the vehicle and paint the dash pad in place! I may even forgo the spray rig and brush it on with a foam brush. Oh well on to other things....

The emergency-brake is held on by two bolts through the firewall and a bolt to the dash; not too bad to remove at all.
Oh, yeah, it's easier to remove the dash if you drop the steering column. If you can mask it off, though, it might very well be much easier, and just as effective, to mask off everything else and spray the dash-pad in place.
