i was wondering if adding a second snorkel opposite to the stock oem one would have any performance gains. would i just be drawing too much hot air in. it seemed easy enough to graph an extra one to the air cleaner housing. thanks

Funny you ask. I just bought a second air cleaner assembly off of e bay and plan on doing this to my Jeep. Will probably use 3" dryer vent tube at Home depot, and snaking it to the front side of the radiator somewhere. More air has to be good, cold air is even better still. Will try to takes pics as this moves along.

sounds like a plan. the assembly and fab seems like it won't be too complicated. let me know how it works out.

I would do it!!!....cheap and fun to build.....will it make a difference? I do not think so....if you are running a 2150 what is the smallest opening between the air cleaner and the motor? the carb itself! so if you put 12 snorkles on it still can only consume as much air as which can go through the carb....AND I still think it would look cool!!

I am going to do just that and I am going to open the fake vents in my rhino frt end to make the air intakes. By using a dremel tool I can keep the stock appearence and make them functional. The ducting will look cool when the hood is opened too.
