Brake booster removal

I have a 66 wag I am trying to remove the brake booster to replace it. I have the booster off the firewall, but I can't get the rod that goes through the firewall to come off the little rod on the brake pedal assembly. It looks like it should just slide off, but I get it right at the edge and it stops. I have tried to pursuade it with a BFH and that doesn't work.

Am I missing something? Is there something I have to do to get it off the brake pedal assembly?

There is a clip pin on the pedal pivot pin, you pull that and then slide the booster rod over and pry it over the rest of the way. It is a nice easy spot to work and you can see with no problems at all to do this. LOL smile.gif
