I was given a new in box edelbrock 500 cfm carb. I have the edelbrock 4 barrel intake already installed. will a stock 360 be fed enough gas with a 500 cfm?

If not can I put bigger fuel rods in it or something?

According to my Holly manual, the 500 should be good for 5,000 RPM. In real life, on a stock 360, it will be better than a 600 or bigger carb..

right on I just wanted to ask because I have a holley 600 on my j-20 but it keeps killing power valves and I'm tired of it and don't have time to mess with it. I just don't want the j-20 to be undercarbed. My wife's wag has the edelbrock 600. They both run a little rich but I was told by several people that the 360 by nature runs a little rich and they burn up if you run them lean. That is why I questioned the 500.

Simplified, the size of the carb is how much air it can flow. The needles and jets determine how much fuel it flows. The Holly 1920 (single barrel, 160 CFM) carb can run rich and the 4150 four barrel, 850 CFM) carb can run lean. What size to get? Depends on engine size, efficiency, max RPM, etc. Better to get too small than too large. I think Holly makes blowout-proof power valves now.
