This isnt as easy as I thought it would be... I bought a razor grill with round headlights from a fellow FSJer's '78 model. After I removed my old grill and headlights I noticed that the new round headlights won't bolt up to the backpiece I have. Is there any trick or do I need to buy the backpiece from the '78? Also I noticed the hood-release lever is in the way, should I just install hood pins? Any advice is appreciated.
TIA.

OK, I installed a razor this weekend and had the same problem you are having mounting the headlight buckets. This is what I did.
1) remove the 2 headlight adjusting screws from plastic threaded anchors on the razor bucket
2) Drill out the 4 rivets holding the 4 mounting brackets to perimeter of razor bucket.
3) Stack the razor bucket onto the back of the original bucket keeping the headlight alignment brackets in alignment together.
4) mark the back of the razor bucket with a Black felt tip marker in alignment with the rivets on the original bucket.
5) Center punch the 4 pen marks with a punch.
6) with a 3/16 drill bit, drill the center punched marks.
7) loosely mount the 4 brackets to the jeep valance.
8) while holding razor bucket in place by hand, align newly drilled holes with bracket holes and screw in #10 3/4" screws.
9) tighten the razor bucket bracket hardware from step seven
10) remove 1 #10 screw and install a 3/16 th's rivet
11)repeat step 10 three more times
If these instructions make any sense then the razor bucket is now installed. All you did was relocate the 4 mounting brackets on the perimeter of the razor bucket by drilling out the rivets, relocating them and reattaching them to the razor bucket with 3/16 rivets. They will now attach to the valance using the pre-existing attaching points. It's that easy! ;)
