I was wondering, after I installed my lift on my 77 J-10 the front sits alot lower than the rear. I know in a truck this is not a bad thing, because it levels when I add weight to the back. But when unloaded it has the race car look.

If I add longer shackles to the front, will it throw off my axle angle to much? Also can I use the ones they use for the rear lift on the small Cherokees? Thanks

I've been hearing that shackles from the rear of a Chevy are the way to go. It will mess with your pinion angle slightly, but not too bad. Go for it.

I lifted mine with the ones for xj/mj's from rusty's. Works fine so far.

Good luck

I used rear shackles of a 1975 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4.
Realy did the trick, just add some washers to make up for the difference in the leaf spring.Very easy mod.

River Beast wheres your rope ladder so you can get it and out of that thing? looks great!!!!!!

Ok what about axle angles? Should I worry to much about it, or will it not throw it off enough to worry? Should I think about shimming the front axle if I add these along with my lift?
Thanks For all the replies,,,,,

The Chevy shackles don't alter the caster enough to worry about shims.
