What is this part?

While mucking around under my dash trying to "fix" the ingnition switch, I noticed a gizmo with a rubber (vacuum?) line running off the front of a nipple on the bottom half and an electical connector above it (don't have a pic, sorry).

It is directly in front of the brake pedal and it looks like the brake pedal comes into contact with the back of the nipple that is connected to the vac? line.

Anyone know what this is? Anyone know what happens if it is disconnected?

Might be the one that "disconnects" Cruise Control when you press on the brake pedal but not sure though.

Thats exactly what it is. you can trace that vacuum hose right to the cruise controller on the left fenderwell. Dennis
