While rebuilding my 360, I noticed something I had not seen before. The push rods have what appear to be identifying punch marks on them. At about 1 inch down from one end of half the rods, there is a single center punch mark, and on the other 8 rods at the same location there are two center punch marks. The shop manual and the Haynes make no mention of these identified marks. Anybody got an idea on the signifigance, if any, on these markings.
