I need idiot instructions for this.
I have sprung over my front and need to set the pinion angle. I have taken riverbeast's instruction and set it at 3 deg up. I want to verify before I weld. I am placing an angle finder from sears under the housing close to the pinion, with weight on the axle. The pinion points up 3 deg. One more thing, the cross member hits the driveshaft, has anybody clocked the transfer to remedy this instead of lowering the crossmember????????????????????

What year Wag are you working on? After the SOA on my 86/83 mystery year wag the front driveshaft hit the xmember and I had to take it out and smash in the little ridge with a BFH and then cut a notch out of the front to make sure it wouldn't hit when the front drooped.

It is an 82 limited. The double cardigan (spelling bad) closes and hits on certain rotations of the shaft. Not good on the ole' drivetrain. I am sporting a stock (for now) 360. I added a superlift dropped pitman arm, and welded boxes for the rear, just can't believe the shaft hits.
