rear window crank rubbing!!!

I will be repainting my rig and dont want that darn thing rubbing all my paint off at the top of every revolution.There must be some adjustment?

:D :D Yah smash the metal on the tailgate where it rubs back a half inch.......lol...kinda joking here, but if done neatly..it would work.. :cool:
