i was interested to see how easy it is to adapt the stock 2bbl onto a new edelbrock intake manifold? i am looking to have change the carb. out as well but due to money restraints i have to do it in steps. i have not seen adapters in any catalogs so far. i figured i could throw on the manifold soon and do the new carb. before next fall. am i better off waiting and doing it all at once? thanks for the help

definitely wait and do it all at once.....buy the manifold and stock it away in a safr place..then when you get the extra $$$$ buy the carb...

Yes wait to install it after you get the carb. I can't find a adaptor to fit the stock 2bbl carb anyplace. I need it to pass the emmisions test and I didnt want to remove the 4bbl intake just for one day of the test. The stock 2bbl has a footprint thats too big for the adaptors that are at the parts stores.
I may have to fab my own adaptor out of 1/2 inch aluminum plate. Anyone know how to bore the holes out?

that sounds like the way to go. i need to hurry up and get the cash so i can start saving to leave for school in the fall. i think the edelbrock setup will be the last mod for a while.(i have said that 5 mods ago. i can't stop though.) thanks
