Heres a good one for the tech guru's. My transmission is jumping out of gear when you come to a sudden stop or when you make a hard left turn. Sometimes it will jump out of gear when I start up a steep incline. The fluid is full, the linkage is ok,(even does it when its pulled down to 1st) and all motor and transmission mounts are tight. I have been told that the pump may be going out but also was told transmission would be whining if it was. It's a 88 model truck with the stock tranny. Any clues? Thanks in advance!

scott check the kick down linkage make sure the return spring is still on it and check it at the trans it sounds like the pressure regulation is out of wack the kick down linkage is what regulate'a the pressure .....sorry it took so long to get to your questino i was out back WORKING OUT ........(napping) :D
